New Creation Butterfly Craft | 2 Corinthians 5:17 Bible Activity | 3D Bouncing Butterfly Sunday School Craft & Lesson
Help children learn what it means to become a new creation in Christ with this Bouncing Butterfly Bible Craft! Based on 2 Corinthians 5:17, this hands-on Sunday School activity uses the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly to help kids understand how Jesus changes our lives when we put our faith in Him.
Kids will create their own colorful 3D butterfly that bounces above a flower using a simple folded paper spring. The flower features the Bible verse, "The old has gone, the new is here!" A coordinating Old Self vs. New Self worksheet encourages children to think about the attitudes, habits, and choices they want to leave behind and the Christlike qualities they want to grow in.
This printable New Creation craft includes both color and black-and-white templates, making it easy to use with different ages and classroom settings. It's a meaningful activity for Sunday School, children's church, Christian classrooms, homeschool Bible lessons, VBS, or a spring Bible craft.

A Bible Craft with a Meaningful Lesson
The butterfly craft is fun to make, but the lesson goes beyond cutting, coloring, and gluing! As children work through the Old Self vs. New Self activity, they'll consider what it means to leave behind sinful habits and grow in love, kindness, patience, and other Christlike qualities.
Use the craft and worksheet together for a complete Bible lesson, or choose one activity to fit your classroom time. The included teacher guide makes it easy to lead a conversation about becoming a new creation in Christ.
This Christian butterfly craft is a simple way to bring 2 Corinthians 5:17 to life while giving children something they can take home and share with their families.
